And I calling out to Olana, where history blows through the air. And I calling out to Olana, then my feet start leading me there. and relief for my soul when I’m there. Dogs are a walking, nature is a talking, cars follow the paths up and down. The Sun is a shining, the clouds are a lining, wild life is growing all around. And I calling out to Olana, where history blows through the air. And I calling out to Olana, then my feet start leading me there. and relief for my soul when I’m there. The grass is getting taller, the leaves can't fall no faller through the years of your secrets untold. People having picnics, at night the songs of crickets, as the magic of your spirit unfolds. And I calling out to Olana, where history blows through the air. And I calling out to Olana, then my feet start leading me there. and relief for my soul when I’m there. ??( INSTRUMENTAL)?? ¬BRIDGE Look out at the bees, that fly out from the trees. look out at the leaves in the streams. Look out at the fields, that refuses to yield, to the hills that are looking too green. INSTRUMENTAL Designs and creations, with good explanations, all to the finest details. Art works and paintings, landscapes or hangings all tell the stories and tales. And I calling out to Olana, where history blows through the air. And I calling out to Olana, then my feet start leading me there. and relief for my soul when I’m there.

Oooooooolana, I can’t get you out of my mind Oooooooolana, I can’t get you out of my mind The design of your landscape, (curves of the land) (contour of the land) (curves of your landscape) your rolling hills the lush green grass of the valley. The trails to the top, to your castle on the hill, is more than worth the tally. Oooooooolana, I can’t get you out of my mind Oooooooolana, I can’t get you out of my mind Portraits of your life have been so divine, some lakeside so serene. Splendid colours of the seasons, with the Hudson River in every scene. Oooooooolana, I can’t get you out of my mind Oooooooolana, I can’t get you out of my mind No mountain too high, no valley to low. The bridge we can gap, Between the new(young) and the old. The steps we shall take to preserve for the next, no need to forget the past. You were brought to life by God and Church and ever growing through the spans of time. The history that you hold, the stories you tell, to share w/generations of mine. Oooooooolana, I can’t get you out of my mind Oooooooolana, I can’t get you out of my mind Repeat, Fade, End

Out of the Mouth of Jeffery (Anchovy Birthday Cake) What I’m thinking about, I won’t really talk about, so I kind of have to psych myself up to do something. I’m not an exterior guy, but an exterior guy. I go to my words, comedian not killer. I’ll just talk you through, a couple of things. Well let’s see, let me sit and think. Sometimes I write, what I don't want to write about. Anchovy Birthday Cake. That’s a good question, Those are just some of the things, on my way here again. OK I don’t want to be in my dreams Like, a screaming eagle When you reached your peak, it’s downhill from there. I’ve been writing down phrases, then coming back to that I just started, but you say you are stuck If it’s not, then it’s something else. She wished she could crack the code, words barely seen. Like ice on a river or a windshield smashed turning left out of her driveway. Names of states followed by numbers: Arizona 11 Melancholia 23 Fascination 7 Tomorrow it would all make sense, It would all make sense It would all make sense Tomorrow it would all make sense, It would all make sense In the morning, she wakes to a blue sky that could belong to summer or winter and asks what did that mean? what did that mean? She drives past the pond, where every goose seen flying overhead this season, floats in the still-unfrozen center. Tomorrow it would all make sense, It would all make sense It would all make sense Tomorrow it would all make sense, It would all make sense INST. The river ahead narrows. Icy banks grab free flowing water as if to say rest for a while. Tomorrow it would all make sense, It would all make sense It would all make sense Tomorrow it would all make sense, It would all make sense

Last Year I couldn’t kiss your lips Last year we cancelled all our trips Your face a tiny smudge on my phone Dark and cold with no power Dark and colder by the hour I never knew how it felt to be so alone Before Tomato Time, before the corn comes in. Before Tomato Time, before the season ends. Before Tomato Time, we’ll see it from within. Before the leaves fall, before you leave me again. No snowy tracks that lead to our stream. No snowy tracks, a sled without a team. When can I feel your arms around me. I see the heron leave the tree. I see the heron flying over me. I can feel your arms around me now. Before Tomato Time, before the corn comes in. Before Tomato Time, before the season ends. Before Tomato Time, we’ll see it from within. Before the leaves fall, before you leave me again. The longest day of the year, the longest time without you here. I’ll never feel your arms around me again The longest day of the year, the longest time without you here. I’ll never feel your arms around me again Before Tomato Time, before the corn comes in. Before Tomato Time, before the season ends. Before Tomato Time, we’ll see it from within. Before the leaves fall, before you leave me again. Before Tomato Time (repeat and fade)

about

This is a collaboration album of different creations by all the students that participated in a 6 week song writing class that Cosby Gibson and I taught at the New York State Historic Site, Fredrick Church's OLANA(Dog Friendly). Sporting a castle at the top of the mtn, Olana has many many acres, lakes as well as incredible views all around and an incredible view of the Hudson River which runs right next to Olana with the Thomas Cole Historic Site directly across on the other side of the river. As you listen to the songs you will realize how the environment, the history as well as the current day happenings at Olana helped influence 6 out of the 9 songs where as the last 3 songs were poems and an experiment that were written during the course... When downloading the Olana Sessions, you get 9 pics of the Olana that i took during the course as well as a 30 sec commercial i made as an example of a different kind of song writing.
